Our cups are made from ethically sourced Bamboo Fibre, NON-GMO Corn Starch and Melamine.
We source our Bamboo from the HuoShan region in Anhui China from offcuts made by manufacturing chopsticks and toothpicks.
Our bamboo is native to the region and the species we use in our cups is the Phyllostachys Pubescens.
There is no chemical used in the processing of the bamboo fibre used in our products.
Our lids & sleeves are made from food grade silicone that complies with EU standards, are dishwasher safe and chemically inert, so won't emit any smells or flavour.
Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on the planet growing up to 3 feet in 24 hours. Based on it's rapidly regenerative and naturally sterile nature it makes it the ideal sustainable material to produce our products from.
To the contrary of what many people think China has established new standards in recent times to encourage factories to provide ethical working conditions and standards for its worker as well as adequate training, breaks and healthcare.
Our supplier was established in 2013 and is located in the Houshan region in China local to where our bamboo is sourced. This helps cut emissions created during the supply chain of producing our products.
We understand the importance to ensure our products are produced ethically from source to customer and we are in constant communication with our supplier to ensure they uphold these standards.

When it's time to recycle your sleeve & lid you can do so in your normal curb side collection where your local facilities accept recycle code 7. To find our if your local recycling plant can accept these please check your postcode here.
We understand these facilities aren't everywhere and we are always working on ways to source alternative materials that are widely accepted and don't compromise on quality.
Simply place your cup in the top shelf of your dishwasher but we recommend avoiding this if you are in an area of hard water. As bamboo is naturally sterile it won't take on any smells/odours or flavours so washing them in your sink is fine.
Some teas that containing tannin may stain your cup. Simply use baking soda paste or lemon juice to remove.
The Sleeve & Lid:
Simple place your lid and sleeve in the top shelf of your dishwasher. We recommend regularly cleaning them as although they don't emit any smell or flavour that can absorb it if stored near other plastics and metals.
